Skin care

The skin is generically defined as leather, after the removal of hair from the skin surface. The skin is then separated longitudinally into two layers. The external part or grain skin and the reticular part, which is called crust. The difference between the flower and the crust exists essentially in the intertwining of the fibers, which in the flower are very elastic while in the crust the density is less than a millimeter and is very inelastic.
The skin has characteristics inherent to its natural origin, such as the difference in grain in the same leather depending on the area of it, certain markings that occur throughout the animal’s life, such as fire marks, scars, etc…, these do not constitute a defect but rather a characteristic of its natural origin, which guarantees its authenticity.

SKIN CARE AND USE

Try to maintain a minimum distance of 70 cm. between the furniture and any form of heat, such as stoves or radiators. Prolonged exposure to heat will make your skin drier.

Stoves, radiators, or any other heat source can cause changes in the color and structure of the skin.

Like all other furniture in the house, leather collects dust. To clean it, rub it with a dry cloth once a week.

You can also use the soft brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. Dirt particles on the skin are completely removed, which is ideal for people allergic to dust.

Never use chemical materials or harsh cleaning agents on the skin.

Avoid all products containing solvents or oils as they will negatively affect the skin’s surface. The leather is only treated with products supplied by the leather manufacturer.

Avoid placing the furniture directly in sunlight. All materials tend to lose color over time if they have been directly exposed to the sun. Skin is especially sensitive to this light. Do not place the fur under windows or skylights.

As a general rule, clean your furniture thoroughly with leather cleaner (supplied by leather manufacturers) at least once every three months and then reapply protection cream (supplied by leather manufacturers) to renew the level of protection. .

The skins are very absorbent and need more frequent cleaning if they are in high-use areas, such as the TV room.
